“Ministering the Gospel in Word and Song”
The McCoys, a family group based out of Louisville, KY, started singing and traveling in the 1970’s. The group at that time consisted of three brothers: David, Wayne, and Mark, along with their sister Myra. The Lord has truly blessed over the years and we now minister as a group with our spouses.
Wayne McCoy, lead vocalist, is a very talented musician and songwriter. He has written several songs that you can hear on upcoming projects. Wayne is a Minister of the Gospel and has served in full-time ministry as an evangelist, Pastor, and Minister of music in the Church of God. He married Angela, our alto singer, in 1988. She also has ministered in music since childhood and started with the McCoy Family in 1985. They have 2 children, Jericho and Kelsea. Jericho plays drums for the group. Kelsea shares her singing talent with the group. It is clear that that God has blessed this family with musical and singing talents that will include generations to come.
Myra McCoy Owens, soprano, began playing the piano and singing at a very young age. She has a powerful voice and her passion is to use the talent God gave her to glorify Him. She married to Jerrol, our baritone/tenor singer, in 2002. He started singing with the McCoy Family in 2002. He is also a licensed minister in the Church of God. They have a precious daughter, Hannah.
